About This Project

Objectives:

  • Conviviality Retail owns the UK’s largest franchised off-licence and convenience chain, operating in circa 800 stores predominantly trading under the Bargain Booze, Bargain Booze Select Convenience and Wine Rack brands
  • Elevate were commissioned as a strategic partner in 2014 to raise CVR’s in-store execution standards within their estate. Specifically to improve upon:The range of in-store tasks undertakenThe coverage of the estate (% & frequency)
    The cost-effectiveness of the operation
    The engagement & input of manufacturers
  • The benefits our service would bring to our client would be:Improved Wholesale volume & margin
    Opportunity for incremental supplier investment revenue
    Improved trading performance
    Improved supplier & retailer loyalty

 

Method:

  • These objectives would be carried out by recruiting a core nationwide team consisting of a National Field Manager, experienced Team Leaders and Merchandisers executing the following projects:New stores
    • Including ‘further flung’ areas outside of BB’s heartland

    Refits / Relays

    • Including TL pre-visits/stock audit/delisting

    Space Optimisation

    • Including the employment of Implementation Managers on Elevate interim contracts

    Planograms

    Re-merchandising

    De-merchandising

    Ad-hoc projects for eg:

    • James Convenience Retail conversions
    • Mystery Shopping
    • Snatch backs

  • 170 relay/new store conversions plus revisits
  • 200 Space audits
